Spotswood Reno - Kids Rooms and Study

With the train station and cafes a short 300m walk away, we feel our target buyer is a young family or a working couple. In saying this it was essential when staging the property we kept this in mind. We decided to convert the original two bedrooms in a double kids room and a home office. The kids bedroom use to be the original master bedroom so it was huge room. We had some custom wardrobe designed and fitted into the space and had a bit of fun with a dramatic black wall. We restored the original ceiling rose and Tasmanian oak floors.I am a sucker for kids rooms and I love that I can get creative in these spaces with no boundaries. Leyer created these beautiful half moon bead heads and bedside tables which pop against the black wall. There is a little study nook in the corner with a American oak timber slab top.

The home office is placed at the front of the property. This is the smaller of the two rooms but it works perfectly as an office space. This room gets a stunning amount of natural light and you can also see outside into the landscaped front yard. We felt this was such a great layout for working mums and dads as they can let their kids enjoy playing outside and still be in sight.

I love styling with greenery and I felt this beautiful maple tree completed this space to a tee. It added a whimsical feel to the room and it is such a calming space to be in. The stunning artwork is from Matt Blatt and the accessories from Simple Form. I think the images speak for themselves.
