It has been a very busy year for me. I did plan on taking a whole 12 months off to enjoy the first year of Archie's life, but like always I end up multi-tasking! We had an amazing opportunity presented to us where we were able to completely transform a 1950's beach shack in Lewisham, Tasmania. The hard part was the filming of this project was bought forward and I ended up having to work on this when Archie was only 3 months old. The travel was the hardest part and the fact that I wasn’t sleeping much. Nap times and night time was when I completed the huge job of the full interior design for this build. Fast forward 5 months and the project is completed and looks amazing!
If you follow our social media channels you would have seen some images of the finished result. I am not going to lie, this was one of the least enjoyable builds we have ever taken part in. I want to make it clear that we don’t own this property. The production company purchased it and let us have full reign over the build and design as if it was our own personal love shack. It was a tedious job, we had to juggle the build, the production and also being new parents. Breastfeeding was and still is important to me and I did everything in my power to keep that up! (patting myself on the back)
Any way we got there in the end and all our hard work payed off! Fast forward 5 months and the project is completed and looks amazing!
I wanted to share my favourite images of the build.
Special thanks to Sgroup architecture and Lyden Builders for all their hard work.
