I am lucky enough work with some incredible homewares brands – some capture my attention with the quality of their collections, while others with the ingenuity of their designs – rich colours, contemporary patterns, proportional forms and luxurious textures.
Sage + Clare’s new Caravan Collection is all of that and more. Bringing together elements of textile designs from around the world, Phoebe Bell founder of Sage + Clare has managed to design a stunning collection of relaxed and contemporary pieces for the modern bohemian home. Colour, texture and pattern inspiration for the collection were drawn from Marrakech, the shores of Africa, South America, India and Australia and channeled into a collection of graphic geo prints, playful embellishments, block printing and embroidery.
The collection not only traverses the continents but also offers opportunities for almost every room of the home – beautiful bed linens for the bedrooms, contemporary and casual throws to dress up the lounge, a modern take on the retro beanbag for family areas or playrooms, crisp and playful floor rugs for adult and children’s spaces and a stunning cushion selection for all of the above. Take my word for it when I say that narrowing down your most-loved choices, to select just a few pieces for your home, will be a challenge.
A fresh take on old classics give the selection a casual, upbeat and innovative vibe, perfect for a contemporary bohemian setting. The humble stripe for example, appears in a new irregular pattern in their signature ‘Milla’ bed linen - one of my favourites from the collection. Not only is the stunning colour palette impossible to resist, the textures, forms, patterns and stories behind each piece are completely captivating. To me, the Caravan collection brings spades of multicultural allure while fitting in seamlessly with a relaxed and casual Australian Summer style – making each piece easy to style in almost any home and incredibly hard to pass by.
