Inside our home - Master Bedroom

Now that our break is over we can finish revealing the last few rooms of our home and then get to revealing the planning process and finished product of our nursery (which is still in the planning stage)

The room that we designed for the elimination on The Block Triple Threat heavily influenced the maser bedroom design. We were very fortunate to be gifted the beautiful Otomys artwork that featured in the room so I changed the original design to fit.

We have a beautiful balcony and view of the city and West Gate Bridge from our bedroom so it was essential that we had wall-to-wall sheers to let in the natural light and also capture that amazing view. The French doors open up to the view which is beautiful in the summer time.

The feature of the room is the four poster Megan Morton x Incy Interiors bedframe which makes me feel like a Disney princess when I wake up every morning. It is a modern take on a classic design and is the perfect centerpiece to the bedroom. We went for a simple painted feature wall because we felt that anything else is just going to compete with our bedframe.

The wardrobe is actually behind what I call ‘the floating wall’ we did this to maximize the space of the master bedroom. The wardrobe is floor to ceiling, wall to wall storage and hanging space. The opposite side is overhead cupboards for more storage and also a shoe rack. The best part of this little hidden gem is the glamour station. This is where I can sit and do my hair and make up with great lighting in peace!

Our master bedroom is really like a little parents retreat with a beautiful little reading nook, plenty of storage, amazing views and a summer balcony. I have to stay we have been in this house for 6 months and my elated feeling of content is still present every morning that I watch that sun rise! It is going to be a beautiful space to feed the baby through the night.
